First Day of Exploring

Man is it ridiculously humid here!  It doesn't feel bad the first couple of minutes you're outside but then it starts to catch up with you.  If you know me, this trip will probably be as much about pharmacy as it will be about eating.  The first meal of the trip:

Chinese sausage with mushroom and rice in a bamboo bowl with iced milo...came up to about $10.  The rice was infused with the flavors of the chinese sausage...the best way to make it!

Today was a lot of getting lost in the public transportation system to explore certain parts of the city.  Rides are distance based and super cheap but the buses don't tell you what stop is next so it's a lot of guessing as I start to get familiar with my area.

This is home for the next 6 weeks:

Kinda dated but I have a balcony and it was fully furnished so I can't complain.

Tomorrow the rotation starts so we'll see what comes up!
