Tourist for a Day, Part 2

With 1 week left on the rotation, I took some time off to go explore some museums and food centres today.  I still have another week after I'm done with the rotation but now that I'm way past the halfway point I wanted more chances to be a tourist!

I had lunch at a Japanese restaurant that specialized in making okonomiyaki (Japanese "pancakes") which was drenched in sauce and so good:

Pork Modanyaki
After, the first stop was the National Museum of Singapore, which was surprisingly free for students (I haven't had to pay to get into a museum yet!).  There's a lot here about the history of Singapore and the culture:

I ended the day exploring Chinatown and trying out more good cheap food at Maxwell Food Centre.  The Chinatown is pretty large here as expected and is very touristy, somewhere to get cheap souvenirsNot much to write home about but the food at these food centres are still amazing:

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Duck Rice

Coconut Tutu Kueh
